各位校友及友好:


世界衞生組織訂定每年7月28日為「世界肝炎日」,旨在提高對病毒性肝炎的認識。病毒性肝炎是一種肝臟炎症,會導致嚴重的肝病和肝細胞癌。今年的主題是“消除肝炎不容等待”,傳達了必須努力在2030年前消除肝炎這一公共衛生威脅的緊迫性。

肝炎病毒有甲型、乙型、丙型、丁型和戊型五種主要毒株。乙型和丙型肝炎最常見,合起來每年導致110萬例死亡和300萬新染病例;而每30秒鐘就有一人死於肝炎相關疾病,即使在當前的COVID-19危機中也是如此。所以我們不能等待,必須立即對病毒性肝炎採取行動。

Dear alumni and friends,


The World Health Organization (WHO) has commemorated World Hepatitis Day on 28 July each year to raise public awareness of viral hepatitis, an inflammation of the liver that causes severe liver disease and hepatocellular cancer. This year’s theme is “Hepatitis can’t wait”, conveying the urgency of efforts needed to eliminate hepatitis as a public health threat by 2030.

There are five main strains of the hepatitis virus – A, B, C, D and E. Together, hepatitis B and C are the most common which result in 1.1 million deaths and 3 million new infections per year. With a person dying every 30 seconds from a hepatitis related illness – even in the current COVID-19 crisis – we can’t wait to act on viral hepatitis.

香港中文大學賽馬會公共衞生及基層醫療學院校友會及本科生校友會誠邀閣下出席「公共衞生議題探討講座系列:心理健康」網上講座。為促進校友及同學與其他公共衞生持份者之交流和溝通,校友會將會舉辦一系列的網上講座,是次我們很榮幸邀請三位分別為醫學界、學術界、以及前線醫護人員作為講座嘉賓,談及新冠肺炎大流行對大眾心理健康的挑戰,並於問答環節跟各位校友和同學進行討論。活動詳情如下:

You are cordially invited to the webinar “Current issues in Public Health Webinar Series - Mental Health” hosted by the CUHK JC School of Public Health and Primary Care Alumni Association and Undergraduate Alumni Association. To enhance interactions and communications between our alumni, fellow students and stakeholders in public health sector, the Alumni Association will launch a series of online talks. We are honoured to invite guest speakers from the medical sector, academics, and frontline staffs to express their views over the mental health challenges we encountered at this day and age. Guest speakers, our alumni and fellow students shall discuss the topic in Q&A session. Details are as the followings:

Time: 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Format: Zoom online meeting

  • Dr. CHONG King Yee (Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry, HKU);

  • Prof. Phoenix MO (Associate Professor, JCSPHPC, CUHK);

  • Ms. Natalie WOO (Clinical Psychologist, alumnus of BSc Public Health)

Fee: Free of charge

Accreditation: CME (Non-specialist)

* The seminar will be conducted in Cantonese.
